Supervision

Supervision is provided for campers no more than 10 minutes prior to the start of each session. Supervision is not provided for between sessions for Middle School campers participating in both sessions (Acting & Voice for Emerging Actors AND Improv Skills Camp), and campers may. not remain on the premises between sessions. 

For Elementary School-Aged Performers
Entering Grades 2-5

MUSICAL THEATRE INTENSIVE
Building Blocks
This camp will focus on encouraging young actors to make strong, confident, and unique choices to help them stand out on stage. We will develop these skills through exposure to basic improvisation and acting skills, and will hone their musical theatre skills in learning and performing several classic musical numbers.

​A short showcase for parents and friends will occur on the last day of class.

Students entering 2nd - 5th grades who are Elmhurst residents or attend Elmhurst schools.
If space allows, children from neighboring communities will be admitted.

For Middle School-Aged Performers
​Entering Grades 5-9

MUSICAL THEATRE INTENSIVE
Acting & Voice for Emerging Actors
Using a sequence of games, singing, and acting exercises, this camp will focus on teaching young actors the most important parts of musical theatre aside from simply memorizing their songs and lines. We will focus on using movement and voice on stage, developing a sense of ensemble-based work, and learning how to support the actors around us to improve our own skills.

A short showcase for parents and friends will occur on the last day of class.

$225 
If registered for both sessions for middle schoolers (Acting & Voice for Emerging Actors AND Improv Skills Camp), the fee is reduced to $200 per session.

Students entering 5th - 9th grades who are Elmhurst residents or attend Elmhurst schools.
If space allows, children from neighboring communities will be admitted.
IMPROV SKILLS CAMP
​During this camp, kids will learn how to perform without a script. They will focus on thinking quickly on their feet, collaborating with their peers, knowing when to concentrate and when to get silly, and gaining confidence.
