Director - Emily Leonard

Emily Leonard is an interdisciplinary arts educator with a focus on building community through the arts. In her over 20 years of experience, she has directed over 50 full scale musical theater productions and helped literally thousands of students take their artistic ideas from creative concept to ambitious execution. In addition to working with youth in the arts, Emily is also an experienced professional director, choreographer, playwright, and performer.

Music Director - Andrea Figueroa

Andrea Figueroa graduated from Elmhurst College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a Conducting focus, along with a Vocal Performance Certificate. In their time at Elmhurst College, they were involved in various performance groups and organizations. They directed both the Chamber Singers and the Symphonic Band in various performances in their final year at Elmhurst. Andrea is pursuing a Masters in Music Education. They were more than excited to be asked back to music direct Seussical, after music directing Newsies in 2020. Let’s have a great show!

Choreographer - Nina Davalos

Nina Davalos is thrilled to be choreographing Seussical for ECT. A 2018 Elmhurst University graduate, Nina now co-owns a nutrition spot in Elmhurst and loves being a part of this thriving community. An experienced performer and dance teacher, Nina has had the pleasure of choreographing for ECT (Shrek the Musical, Newsies, The Music Man) and Hatbox Theatrix (Charlie Brown, Matilda). Nina is enjoying reminiscing about her days as a Bird Girl in her high school's production of Seussical. She is proud of the kids and their hard work and knows they will put on a great performance.
